Still-in Calais

The Jungle of Calais, a camp that has formed by itself in response to the closure of the UK towards asylum seekers coming from the other side of the Channel. A world apart, where different ethnicities coexisted, not always in peace, but with the common aim to reach the “land of human rights”.

A difficult place to live in, and where amazingly warm and genuine people can be met, but where also smugglers make their way, to take advantage of refugees’ necessities, while institutions seem unable and unwilling to manage properly the issue.
