I am an Italian photographer experimenting with visual documentation through hiking, crossing and living the landscape all the way down to its roots

VA’SENTIERO

I am the co-founder of a pioneering expedition on foot along an 8.000 km forgotten trail in Italy.

Between 2019 and 2021 alongside a team of young professionals I hiked through the whole of Italy, crossing 16 National Parks and hundreds of mountain villages, documenting the fluid landscape of long marginalized areas, still crucial for the balance of the whole system.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I am interested in contemporary issues of society and the intertwinement of social and environmental justice. Between 2015 and 2016 I traveled around Europe to investigate the topic of refugees, focusing on individual human stories behind the phenomenon of migration. In 2016 I documented the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Central Italy by capturing the struggle of people living in those areas.
